Orleans Park Plan

The "Traditional Neighborhood" Park

Orleans Park plans feature a ridge-top vista garden with a gazebo, an expanded play area utilizing the sledding hill, and improvements such as a multi-purpose field, sport courts, and a stormwater garden. The updates to this park build off the existing amenities to use open and underutilized areas.

South Fork Park Plan

The "Regional Destination" Park

South Park's vision includes an expanded disc golf course, adventure play areas, new shade features, and an overlook with views to the creek and across the new playscape. These recommendations can help create a regional destination where visitors can explore more of the highly regarded natural environment.

Lincoln Woods Park Plan

The "Discovery" Park

The Lincoln Woods improvements aim to enhance accessibility and connectivity both within and into the park. Upgrades include a new entry sign, improved parking, synthetic turf ballfields, and a picnic grove with educational trails. Other features include a walking loop, a basketball court, pickleball courts, and diverse landscape elements. The new centralized arrival gathering space will include concessions and restrooms and could be used in a multitude of ways with temporary seating, food trucks and more.

Kentaboo Park Plan

The "Linear" Park

Proposed improvements for Kentaboo Park include adding shade structures, seating, and a diverse landscape, as well as creating a circuit path and unique sprayground to activate the park's front entry. A multi-use sports field will provide versatile activity options for all ages. These recommendations focus on elements that improve the visitor experience.

Stringtown Park Plan

The "Urban" Park

Enhancements for Stringtown Park involve expanding the parking lot, adding a shaded picnic grove, a water play area, and nature play zones. Other features include a basketball court, new walking paths, and additional parking options. Stringtown Park is widely used and centrally located, so these improvements are partially based on current amenity usage.

Skate Park Plan

The "Special Use" Park

The Skate Park enhancements include better lighting, a reoriented parking lot, and a new gathering space with a stage. Upgrades also feature a new competition-level pump track, a beginner’s pump track, elevated spectator seating, and additional amenities like restrooms and picnic areas. The Skate Park is one of the most unique parks in Florence and its central location could be used as a special community event space.
